Talk to any shirtmaker and they will tell you that the collar makes the shirt. It takes about 30 different steps to make a custom collar. Preparation starts by making a new pattern or copying from the original and Preparing the fabric by shrinking it before constructing.
Decide which styles best suite your personality or confidence. Take into mind that the collars will probably shrink about 1/4-3/8" or more depending on who is doing your shirt laundry.
Measure your collar from the center of the button to the end of buttonhole. Make sure you pull a shirt from your closet that fits you perfect,this is the shirt you should measure. Below we have some standard styles. There are a hundred variations. If you have a particular collar style you like, enclose it as a sample ,we'll copy it exactly.
