Is your shirt and cuff Fusing Bubbling In the old days nothing was fused. We started out by washing the fabric and then shrinking the fabric by stretching and steaming. This technique elimitated much of the shrinkage.
Shirt Users, What causes collars and cuffs to bubble. Some of the reasons are that the heat and pressure were not set right for the particular fabric and interfacing(fusing). Most of your manufactures never wash the fabric before cutting or fusing. A fabric and have one ratio of shrinkage and the fusing can have another ratio. Consequentially there under stress much like an earth quake fault. True custom shirtmakers tend to wash their fabrics but not all try to shrink their fusings. Nothing is 100% but every bit helps or slows down the shrinkage . At Maldonado's collarreplacement.com we shrink the fabric and the fusing before we even cut or contruct the collars and cuffs. It slows the amount of shrinkage but nothing in the world is 100%. We have included a video of the fusing of shirt collars and cuffs .Keep in mind that the fabrics being loaded into the machine have never been shrunk.
Hope the information is usefull
